Biggest TC rise you have received with a single job change ?

At least 4-5 people so far have more than tripled their TC in a single jump , that’s wow! Can they explain please ?
My guess is low COL to high COL, or switching from a non tech field into tech.
I got close, went from approx 200k to an offer at 550. Both in sf.

the only reason my TC jump so high is because the previous TC is totally shit plus I was jumping to a good company ... it’s still within the normal price range, nothing too special

Jump to FANG, I nearly doubled my TC doing so. That's why it's such a big deal to do so
I had a couple in the 30% range. Chicago to amzn: 140k-190k Amzn to fb: 280k-340k Fb to HFT: 340k - 480k
