First post, whaddup. I’ve got the feeling I screwed myself over when negotiating initial salary. I came into the firm 2 years ago as a Senior Consultant @ $80K with 2 yoe, a math BS, and a higher clearance (TS/SCI w/ CI Poly). Currently working in data science. While here, the work I’ve done has gotten my client multiple awards. I’m not sure what an appropriate salary would be to bring to my manager, given my 4 yoe and performance. Any advice?
Look for the internal promo document on the share point. Have you gotten zero bumps? Booz isn't too keen on giving more monies. Imo.
"Booz isn't too keen on giving more monies. Imo." Ooooh Tell me more. I am tryna join tres coma club
Market research the position and add another 12% (for the clearance). If you want a promotion then tell your JL and CM, be sure to have some ammo as to why you deserve it. If you get a promotion, then it’ll inherently come with that pay jump you’re potentially looking for, however, if I were you I’d chat with your senior associate after you’ve spoken with your JL & CM to go more into the specifics on what you’d like in terms of a pay increase. Lots of variables, I know.
Seems like you’d be worth quite a bit more elsewhere. I’m a Sr. Consultant at Accenture and am getting $140k base plus bonuses. Not in data science but I know there’s a good amount of data science work at Accenture and can’t imagine it pays less than $115k.
Whoop, should’ve mentioned I’m looking for a promotion / pay increase
