The hole allows for even cooking of the dough.

Them: nah. Give t to me straight.
Me: Okay you asked for it. Its the only way nerdy teenagers get any action.

They are boiled before being baked, and it is likely that it's easier to fish them out of the boiling water if they have a hole.

  • IBM fkui
They don't have holes technically, because when they're made, it's a log of dough rolled out and then made into a circle.

If you aren't inquisitive, why would someone pay you FAANG $? While bagel question is a kindergarten level challenge, who needs drones who don't like to think outside the box? Outsource those tasks to offshore.

It’s certain kind of people who ask these questions to select people like themselves and I don’t want to be with them. Nothing to do with any kind of thinking at all. Just s game they ask you to play. Wall Street quants used to like this kind of stuff. That’s why they all look like came from the same village. Total absense of diversity of appearance or thought. That’s why they tend to all go down to gether
      Jul 12
    • VMware BiggySmlz
Diversity isn't involved here. More likely it is an attempt to ask something you didn't prepare for. LC answer memorization doesn't necessarily indicate future success. But how you react to something new, unexpected or outside your direct experience can be more illuminating. That feels more diverse than your response.

Yeah, brain teasers on walk street are like leetcode for you guys. There are tons of them available with answers, books written etc. it’s just outright lame. There’s nothing original about them anymore
