I just got h1 approval receipt , was thinking if I could go to India from November 2nd to 10th , wait time at Mumbai consulate is 11 days. What documents would I require apart from i797 receipt
Hi, Was it H1b extension approval or first time receipt/approval? Any RFE? In my case, first time.. picked up in lottery, haven’t received any decision yet (no RFE as well, until date)..
Docs required for actual interview at consulate would be i797 original, employment verification letter, recent payslips. Also carry documents related to your educations like diplomas etc. Also double check with your law firm about additional docs. For just scheduling interview you need i797 number.
Recent payslips would be the ones with h1b or the ones on f1
