I got a software engineering internship at capital one and Fidelity.Which one is better?
Don't have any insights on their programs for you but here in Chicago I only hear great things about Capital One. The office is heavily involved in the Midwest tech scene so branching out would not be difficult. Heard of a guy who worked there and decided to leave for a startup and capital one told him he could come back anytime he wanted.
It depends on which part of Capital One you're joining. Retail is the darling of the company; whereas Commercial is a shit storm brewing in a dumpster. Stay far far away from those Commercial folks.
Va is a right to work state. Very abusive to its employees
Fidelity
Capital one. Heard they have more respect for tech
Not always: product runs the show in most of Commercial. Retail might be a different story.
Fidelity has better name and logo. Will look nicer on LinkedIn profile.
Are you a college student? Capital One has an amazing program for interns (typically college students between junior/senior year) and new college grads. **many** planned events - some social, some work/development focused - with your fellow interns/development program colleagues. Typically interns are assigned to a particular team, and you will be given a meaningful project to work on. I can't comment on internships at fidelity - not familiar.
Friend worked at Fidelity and they had great programs that helped him grow his career.
I heard CapitalOne has the dankest memes from another thread
Capital one
I don't know. But the reputation her in VA is Capitol One hires for just under 6 months, then lets people go so they don't have to pay insurance.
You get full benefits from day one at Capital One, so you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
