Current TC - 185 (YOE -2) Hi folks. How much does promo matters? I had some crazy BS change in management and promo slipped through cracks... Now feeling frustrated at the same level... LC -250 done and ready for interviews. Should I wait in Salesforce or move out? other than FAANGS will companies pay more than this?
You're making more than I am at Amazon with the same YOE. Although that's likely to change this month as my promo just went through. This same shit just happened to me and I was patient. Just wait it out and let the promo happen.

Thanks I mean like non FAANG Companies... Just getting a geared up for interviews. But even if I wait a year my TC will go to 200k that’s it... Not much of a raise

Forget Amazon. Aim for FB and Google. Lyft and Uber and Snap as well. I don't know why all these posters are mentioning Amazon. Ignore them. Also ignore promo. You'll only get disappointed and come back to Leetcoding. Do it now so you don't waste time.

Amzn and MS can both offer 220ish for yoe2. Although go for F,G,U,L etc to get 250+
Aim for Facebook if you don't mind working a lot of hours and want to get promoted fast. Aim for Google if you want work life balance.
Yes That sounds perfect. But just wanted to know companies other than FAANG would they beat the salaries?
There's companies like Uber, Lyft, Airbnb, LinkedIn, Microsoft. Or maybe some companies in wall street. But generally, the companies that pay big bucks are the ones that everyone is trying to get into. If they didn't pay big bucks, they wouldn't be as popular employment wise.
When did you join and what is your current level ? How much is hike without promo and with promo ?
Joined almost 2 years back. Compensation was the same then same now...
With promo 6-8% hike will happen.
Amazon will def pay you more than that if you come in as SDE2.
