Anyone ever Interview at Cruise who would like to share their experience? Thanks
Really? Why not
Will be curious to know as well
It's super random. If you do get an offer, they'll try to heavily lowball you at first but the offer gets a lot better with negotiation. (Edit: oh right this is blind. 440+ TC of which 80% is liquid for senior title is achievable.)
You got 440+ TC offer from Cruise or your current TC at G is 440K? I assume it’s TC based on Cruise offer as you said 80% is liquid (at G, 100% will be liquid).
Your deduction looks correct, but tbf, there are people floating around with Google as their company brand who do have very illiquid internal equity (verily, waymo, X, etc)
I interviewed last week; had 4 one hour interviews. One was behavioral and past experience, one fully focused on domain skills (computer vision for me), one whiteboard coding (typical FB/G style) and another one a mix of whiteboard coding and domain skills. Prior to this I had a phone screen with online coding and some technical questions. I heard back from the recruiter on Fri that they will move forward with an offer and will get back to me with the first offer next Wed/Thurs.
Were the technical questions language specific? How difficult was the programming question in the phone screen?
I think they prefer C++ but that was my preferred language as well. Programming question in phone screen I would say was around leetcode medium, though I haven’t seen the question before.
Are you planning on negotiating?
Am invited for an onsite. But the HM, who joined cruise recently, is asking me to a presentation of my past work. Is it usual? Just a fishing expedition on their part to find reason to reject someone?
Hi cadence which team did you interview for? How did it go?
Even I am interviewing there next week
When is it
Next week is the phone round
