Delaware or SF
should i move back to Delaware closer to friend and family or stay in sf pros: all my friends live there who are now getting engaged and married and i feel left out of their events cheaper cost of living, can buy a house cons: take a pay cut and live in bumblefuck at an ok company vs toptier
This is all about what you value most in life: spending more time with people you care about or having an eye catching resume and big TC. It sounds like you already have some regrets, and you’ll probably feel worse about it ten years from now, so I’d say Delaware, or at least close to it. You could get okay TC in the DC area or possibly NY, and be able to drive to visit friends and family on weekends.
People on blind only chase TC because they don’t have the friends or the social life. And most are total dweebs with ugly or no wife and no big events living in 4K/month boxes

Hope remote job becomes reality for top companies.
Go to NYC? Pay is still good, job market is good and you can drive down every now and then for events or just to hang out.
NYC sounds like the answer. Delaware only if you have kids.
