For a global company with a very public Diversity & Inclusion practice its odd and concerning that Dell does not have many people of color in manager or leadership roles - Especially in their federal practice
“People of color” isn’t relegated to solely Black people. There are other minority groups as well. Is comprehension something you struggle with?
But only black hides behind people of color. I don't see other ethnics pulling the color card anywhere as often
I didn’t gather that anyone was implying that being born black entitled you to anything - in fact it’s quite the opposite.
So a ton of my managers are “people of color” I know quite a few within hardware engineering. It’s all about perspective.
Eh that’s true about every company out there. Any company that has a dedicated D&I department usually has the most problems with it. If they didn’t they wouldn’t have had to hire someone to deal with it, would they?
Let's reset expectations here y'all. 15% of the population is black why should there be more than 15% corporate America? Now Hispanics are 45% of the population but I don't see that in the workplace.
Federal - do you mean selling to the government?
Very concerning, but I am of the belief that it is due to progression within Dell being more about seniority that ability.
