So my director called me in and told me my coworker was saying that I was trying to undermine her and staff splitting and implied that the 2 of us were plotting behind her back. I was emotional and feeling betrayed by my coworker. We had vented to each other over the years but never anything in appropriate (just the usual upper management doesn't understand gripes). At this point I responded to the director by trying to explain that "no we talked about the decision and saw there was additional information that was missing (that involved state regulations) so we sent it to you because from what you said, you didn't know the state recommendation and we didn't want it to bite any of us. We vented a little but not inappropriately and did not state we wouldn't follow your recommendation." We'll hours go by .. and I get an IM from my coworker (the one that supposedly had talked about me to my Director)...and she's super upset and saying that the Director told her that I was saying that my coworker had a problem with what the director was doing etc (untrue). (Additional information - coworker and I worked it out with each other and found out that neither of us had said to the director what she claimed...it feels like director is trying to pit me against my coworker) Help! What do I do!
Thanks - I wrote a timeline and screenshot the very appropriate IMs me and co-worker had saying we we're just told different things. Then I saved it as a PDF to time stamp (because this felt so icky... )
I also do almost all of the Directors work for her. I think from the way executive leadership has made comments - that she is in trouble with them for putting work on me (not because it's more work for me but because it shows she can't do the tasks)
Both of you go together to HR
I tried to get my coworker to go to HR with me - but she basically said she's 50 yrs old and doesn't have time for childishness
That's why I took a screenshot
Simple, get everyone in the same room and force a transparent conversation. Ur director wont dare play the same game ever again
This Director has waAaay too much time on their hands !! This director needs to expand their work portfolio to keep busy !
Sounds like a fun game to play....
Ask your director if he has threesome fetish.
I hardly understood
Sorry - made some grammar changes hope this helps
Basically your director is trying to play the two of you against each other?
