I have heard that Americans only drink cold water. They never drink hot water. Is it true?
Tea does not count. And hot water should be as hot as any hot coffee you get from Starbucks.
I’ve also learned that as an American the volume of fluids I consume is abnormal: we’d have 3 cold glasses of water or sparkling water or sometimes even juice with every meal growing up. And for every glass of wine we’d match it 1:1 with a glass of water. In Asia, I’m inconveniencing everyone if I pour myself a second small glass of abnormally hot water because the pitcher at the table is so small.
