Its for dine-in.. Not to-go!
I always tip around 18%, but tbh, I had very very rare times that I actually felt I am super happy with the service so I am tipping them.. I tip just because I know waiters and waitresses count on it as part of their salary..
Yes 20% minimum. Because I'm not a piece of shit.
No, youâre not a piece of shit. Youâre just a self-righteous virtue-signalling prick.
Agree with Amazon. Tipping 20% is good and proper. But to imply that those who donât are POS is disgusting sanctimony. Remember that tipping is fundamentally a personal choice and never required.
I try to avoid restaurants that expect tipping
So you eat at home everyday?
No
They can't make you tip, so why not save the money and buy a burrito instead? Plus they already are overpriced.
Eat at home if you're too low TC to tip. If you are not originally from the US, do not assume the culture here is the same as the culture back in your home country. Here we tip resteraunt staff no matter what, and if we can't afford to do so, we get off our asses and cook for ourselves. Unless you're the type of person to fuck over people in poverty because you're a piece of shit
Or do what you want, instead of listening to virtue signaling blowhards. Here, we're free to do as we see fit. We don't have to listen to sanctimonious douchebags, no matter how loudly they whine. They took the job and knew what the pay was, with the foreknowledge that they wouldn't always get tipped. If they don't like it, they can get a better job and if they can't then that's a whole other conversation.
You can apply your logic and get a better job if you're too poor to tip :) which it sounds like you are, and are trying to live above your means eating out
Yes and you should too. If you don't either dont eat out or be ok with spit in your food.
how fucked up is America to have servers spit in the food? Education seriously needs to be revised.
Imagine you are a tipped worker and make min wage: $2.13/hour. A customer robs you. You are gonna smile and say thank you? What education class is going to teach the worker to be pushed around exactly?
I tipped 40% yesterday when I went out for dinner with my girlfriend. Reason: Restaurant let us have dinner 90 minutes past their closing time, arranged candle lights, and made sure they deliver all the dishes we ordered. That tip was totally worth it.
Do you need to tip for take out?
No, but you can if you're feeling generous
VAT is the tip.
Usually 20% is my floor, and I'll tip 30% for exceptional effort. When I'm outside the states I don't tip, however.
The people outside the states are the people who need the tips the most. Don't make the rich richer vro.
Depends on culture lol.
