In case LinkedIn used both, which one do you people find better?
We use MacBooks for laptops, Slack for communications, Outlook for mail/calendar and Gsuite/Docs/Drive for documents because Office is horrible
G Suite is not any better. It's the reason garbage mail is my junk mail address. Google does a lot of great stuff but gmail is not among them in my (admittedly minority) opinion
Mac Office is awful (especially Excel, fuck Mac Excel). Windows Office is perfectly fine and generally superior to Gsuite if you don’t need real time edits / sharing.
They switched from Gmail to Outlook after they got acquired. The friends I have at LinkedIn were not happy about it.
25% of G Suite Enterprise customers use both Office 365 and G Suite. I’m mentioning that because you seem to be under the impression that it is one or the other. It isn’t. Yeah mail routing and calendars can get messy. Also worth mentioning is that enterprise agreements can span years. If LinkedIn uses G Suite now, I believe they do, it is likely because this is already sunk cost. Switching platforms to something and then having to pay for it, even if it is internal funny money, is a higher cost.
Outlook, Teams, and O365 now. I miss Google Drive tho
What do you mean “miss” google drive? We still use it every day.
Since you mentioned Teams I’m assuming you don’t use slack?
Both but migrating to 0365. For Mac environments GS and O365 offer the same experience; excluding slack of course which is awesome and way better than Teams. For a windows shop, 0365 is way better than GS though.
Why is the LinkedIn website so terrible? I heard you guys aren't using cloud computing
We used Google for everything until we were acquired by Microsoft. G-Suite was way better and Microsoft sucks.
Will the answer make you feel better?
Why you mad bro
That was a polite question bro.
