Thank god that at least the US still values free press and free speech. 🇺🇸💥🇺🇸 🥧
I agree, nobody should be happy about this
Hello time traveler from 2011. Assange is the most hated person on the planet in 2019. You missed the part where he successfully took down Hillary Clinton setting us up for Armageddon.
How do you know, eBay? Are you in favor of potential death penalty for journalism? Am I getting confused that you were against "Armageddon" before and now you're not?
Lost all credibility with the last election. Wasn't about information so much as pushing a specific agenda. Good riddance.
The left disavowed him after he started leaking stuff that damaged Hillary but not Trump so I expect mostly crickets. Also he's a bit of a dbag in person which doesn't help.
Um... the things that were leaked about Clinton were mostly that she was using media connections to promote Trump (because she thought it’d be an easier win than Jeb! Lol) and sabotage Sanders campaign. The Sanders supporters tried to disrupt the convention over it. So I think you are confusing “left” with “center”.
Isn’t he an Australian citizen? How is he being charged for breaking US laws (I don’t think he was even in the US either)?
This is a good question. How can you be charged with breaking US laws if you aren't a US citizen or permanent resident and were not in the US at the time. This does not make sense to me.
Until a couple of months ago, Australia had refused his passport. Btw, that's the wrong question - you can break laws without residency.
They can charge whatever they want, if the host country have extradition agreement then the guy's in trouble.

How exactly is this a stunning development? Everyone familiar with the subject knew that if he was getting charged, it would be on espionage counts.
And that he'd be charged as soon as he left the Ecuadorian embarrassy. Only surprise is that it took this long
Are you guys cheering that this because this administration is following through with what the previous one started?
