Good news for high skilled workers. Bad news for shitty body shops.
Where does the term "body shops" come from? How does it relate to H1b?
Keep being delusional. Did u forget the case of an IIT/Stanford guy + guy from GaTech who didnt get renewal
Ban all consultancies
They are going to deny visas for people who accept employment at company A but then are assigned to work on contract for company B. They are also going to crack down on what is considered a specialty occupation, likely becoming a lot more specific about what job descriptions and degrees qualify. We have already seen that that have begun rejecting PM h1b's, including at Google, for requiring any degree rather than a specific degree.
I'm in support for anything that reduces the number of useless PMs!
Me too but what would prevent companies to bring them on a SWE position on the paper and then change their role or just their duties to those of a PM ? I assume most PMs have a CS or EE degree so they would qualify as SWE.

It's amazing how there's zero coverage on this in the US media. Fuckers are all obsessed with some dead Saudi than about tax paying H1Bs living in the US.
Yo, kiddo, that "dead Saudi" is a direct attack to human rights and to the freedom of speech, the core values of the modern world. If they are not sanctioned they will do it again and other states will do it too. Immigration is a priviledge. Life is a right. Which part of the Midwest did you grow up in ?
I grew up outside the US, dimwit. Perhaps you should realize that the world isn't as simple as your Western liberal xenophobic media likes to portray and your notion of "freedom" goes against other people's beliefs. Other people don't need to be rescued with your freedom and you can keep your white man's burden to yourself.
