Recently discovered that the current wait times for EB1 have shot up to 6 years for Indians (showing I140 processing date of 2012). Had the idea that it would take 1-2 years for the whole process, but it doesn't seem so. It's now as worse as what EB2 used to be few years ago. Can people who have recently filed for green cards in EB1 queue share their experiences?
There are 70k people in India eb1 queue including dependents. It's being drained at 12k per year, so go figure
Twope family visas and employment visa are counted against different buckets. Your comment doesn't make any sense
I can't prove it but I am almost certain that the retrogress is due to some eb2 case with a priority date of 2012 upgrading to eb1 and not actual 6 years of backlog
Has it been like this for a while? Or has something changed recently, and we can expect it to bounce back? I haven't been following in the recent past, so wondering
Go back and look at the visa bulletins. It retrogressed only a couple of months ago
USCIS needs to close this crappy L1A EB1-C loop hole.
But L1A has no impact on EB1C? Everyone can apply for EB1C once they meet criteria. Doesn’t matter which visa are you on.
Apple just wants random rule changes to stop every route than the one he is taking. And once he gets his GC will probably ask for that to be closed roo.
L1A -> EB1 is such a loophole.
The l1 EB1 need to stop , I think Americans can manage people , they may not want to import managers
I believe the EB-1 dates for Indians retrogressed a few months ago. Like someone else said, there’s not actually 6 years of backlog. PM me for more details.
It’s likely to be current in the month of October, that’s the trend for last two years
If you file under EB1 (L1A) then when can you expect to get final action priority date? Does priority date come on I797 or on I140?
So your highness doesn’t want to wait 6 years ? Shall we give you a green card on arrival at the airport ?
I got mine in a year. But my ancestors founded this colony after all :)
That'd be cool WordPPT. Thanks a lot for putting in all your hard work and building this nation.
