Emailing answer after the interview?

I haven't interviewed in years and just bombed a technical interview due to knowledge gaps. I am interested in this company. I'm planning to read about all the topics I was asked about during the interview that I didn't have much insight about. Should I email my interviewers to thank them for making me aware of some knowledge gaps and following up with what I learned about the topics since the interview? Their emails were made available to me by the recruiting team so I don't think this would invade their privacy. Would it be disrespectful in some other way if I did this?

Absolutely no point, just move on

I disagree. There's nothing to lose, interviewers aren't looking for a stunning on-your-feet performance, and illustrating the initiative to find these answers and correct the record could actually tip the scale for you. I would find this an attractive quality in an interviewee. Just don't fall over yourself apologizing. Frame it in more positive terms - you hadn't had an opportunity to study that topic before, and here's what you've learned since the interview. If that's not good enough, that's not good enough and you walk into your next interview smarter.

+1, did something similar in my previous job, swung a no to a yes. I pretty much created a couple pull-requests to their open source project, they reviewed them and offered me a job offer.

Won't make difference but thank you email won't hurt since they already gave to you

Should never happen.
