Did an initial phone screen with a recruiter today and foolishly said I did not care about particular teams as I’ve previously met people in GCP, maps, Kubernetes and they all seemed pretty cool. However, after we talked she sent me the job description which says EngProd SWE. Once I saw that, it got me a little less excited as I’d much rather work on an external facing product. Companies I’ve been at have significantly lower quality code for tools/infra than production code. Wondering if it’s the same at G. Any insight into this role/group? Is this just a rebranding of SETI? 6 YOE SDE TC: 180k
Too generic. Ask what this team's okrs are
I haven’t done onsite yet so not sure on the specific team. Guessing that happens during team matching. This is the link I was sent https://careers.google.com/jobs/results/136935059069248198/
I thought you said you spoke to maps kuber etc? How did that happen before getting offer?
