Evaluate offers by 2 companies for similar role. One in Bay area 140k base + 5k joining. Other in LA 130k base.

Bay area one is little more established and willing to do green card also. But LA one is less well established in terms of software development & product and don't have experience filing Green card, although they say they will file for me. Considering better established policies and legal team, bay area one seems better option in terms of green card processing. I have my I-140 approved and almost 3 years left on H1B extension. Please advise.

Green card is most important. Bay area

I’d go to Bay Area because it opens more doors for next job living in the silicon valley.

Go to LA, that money will worth waayyyyy more there. You’ll live like a king and have a better life

Yes that's my thinking too..I will prefer living in LA but just considering long term visa support that I will need few years down the line

Based on what you describe, Bay Area seems to be a better short term investment for both career as well as green card. Cost of living may be higher, but you get some solid experience while young and get green card process out of the way -- which opens up other doors later down the road. You don't have to stay in Bay Area (or LA, for that matter) forever anyway.

I am guessing he’s from India. He already has a green card in processing but his coz it takes forever for Indians to get greencard (7-10 years) again he will have to start the same shitty process if he leaves the company earlier than that period. Soo, Maybe LA is a good choice based on lifestyle and standard of living at that salary.

Don’t be too concerned about greencard. Worst thing worst you will move to Canada. Focus on where you’re going to live a better lifestyle and enjoy your years. If the 2nd co pant says they will apply for greencard then they will. They need not be experienced at that. As long as they can pay the law format. It doesn’t really matter.

Just considering the compensation..is there a major advantage of one over another. Because cost of living wise I see apartments cost can really vary based on neighborhood whether in LA or Bay area.

LA is catching with SF. It really depends on the neighborhoods.
