No booking. Take your car - pick a direction and go. Make bookings every day at dinner time. Ever done that?
I wish I can take such a trip for days. Did solo trip once before for a day and it was surprisingly good experience.
Care to share?
Yup, lots of fun with camping and I’m bad at planning anyway
Done this several times. Love it.
Yes...in Thailand and Ireland actually... each day is an adventure
Have done 2-3 trips so unplanned, spur of the moment trips in India , always eventful. Would do it again. Most memorable 500 rupees in pocket , in college break , did not want to stay at relatives for few days , college was off , family out , took a trip to hills, joshimath... was feeling a king Fuck .. enjoyed 2 days in dorm, made some friends for a day, and next day I am returning , earthquake .... chamomile earthquake, 4.5 Ritcher scale Came back 2 days later, and had just enough to call one from paid phone to tell he I there and if I don’t reach in next 5 days, search for me Good days ....
Yes. It was so much fun and thrill. Drove 101 pacific coast drive from seattle to sfo. We only saw what are probable places to stay with 4 hours drive interval in google map. My self and wifey. We did make sure we are around a town with hotels by evening time and booked hotel around 6pm every day or just did walk-in. It worked out well. We didn’t have any aimed destination to reach everyday. So we were so casual and relaxing. We were also prepared to sleep in our cozy outback if we don’t a find a hotel. So we weren’t bothered of anything but just pure fun.
Yes. I didn’t that a lot. Most recent is a 5day trip which I drove around 1500+mile. Book hotel everyday right before I feel that’s all for the day.
There was that engineer who went hiking and got stuck on boulders...had to break his arm and drink his piss to survive...but survive he did to tell the story alive.
Where you go doesnot matter as much as who you go with. Unfortunately travel companions always needed well planning
Umm that’s why the “by yourself” in the question
Thats why i prefaced my response with solo travel sucks.
