Scare tactic by big companies? Or is this a real case? Should larger corporations be more cautious and take additional action towards preventing employees from stealing IP (i.e. ML assisted monitoring systems to alert employers of suspicious activity)? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/story/ex-apple-employee-accused-of-stealing-self-driving-car-tech/amp
Not cool. And actually stupid. Most companies have things monitored.
Anyone remember a NASA employee took company's laptop when he boarded the plane with a one way ticket? The feds found out he put loads of porn on it and charged him copy right infringement...
I have to confess sometimes I bring one or two cans soda home.
“Zhang admitted to Apple's security staff that he had taken home a Linux server belonging to Apple and had transferred data to his wife's laptop. He said he wanted to review the data for his own education, hoping it would help him secure another job within Apple. He returned the server and brought the laptop into Apple for examination.” “ Lol
How about send to the cloud in China and get our lol apparently he took a little time to leave.
The fact that people like this guy still got hired by Apple is beyond me. Full blown idiot..
China at its best - China steals , nothing new or surprising
I have definitely accidentally taken some work documents home. I used my work laptop for a lot of personal stuff, e.g. mortgage applications, personal finances, etc. and when transferring documents/folders accidentally grabbed a couple of wrong ones. Full on copying a whole server seems intense tho
Wut did he expect
Xiaolang Zhang was successful in giving another confirmation to the public that apple is working on self-driving car technology. The so called secretive company must be outraged partly because of this public news as well 😂😂
who needs ML when humans are so dumb
