FB vs Stripe
I have an idea of which one I will likely choose but, given my offer circumstances, wondering which one others would pick and if I'm missing any pros/cons or things to think about. Facebook E4 TC: 270k Pros: Office, Benefits and perks, Get to choose team, getting tangible RSU money, FAANG on resume Cons: Can end up with crappy team options, More likely to end up with bad WLB Stripe L2 TC: 285k Pros: Super motivated with what team will be working on, More room for impact, Remote and WFH friendly Cons: Risk involved since RSUs not guaranteed until IPO, There's oncall I know this is like the 500th time this type of question has been asked and since blind community really helped me prep for my interviews I'm happy to answer any questions about both, really enjoyed both interview processes. Yoe: 4 Current TC: 170k at our stocks garbage price 😢
Feel like most people I know leaving FB are going to Stripe...😟. Go try out Stripe.
Stripe sounds like it has a great engineering culture, Facebook... not so much
With 4 yoe either are going to be great, since both are great learning opportunities. Plus they are solid offers. Congrats!

Reading your post I have a feeling you already decided subconsciously and just looking for posts to confirm. Either I am reading too much between the lines or you picked Stripe :)
Hey did you interview for E4 at Facebook? Just curious cause they said they are our of headcount for E4
I just interviewed and got an offer for E4 at Menlo Park two weeks ago
Congrats! 15K extra in paper money is not worth it

Sounds like you might be young. If that's the case, you can risk some paper money
Not that I don’t want OP to come to stripe, but IMO when you are young it’s time to accrue cash. It’s much easier to chase paper money later when you have cash on hand. What do you have to show for if you are in your 30s but the paper money is still paper?
IMO as long as the cash is enough to live comfortably on, the more important factor is how you’ll grow. The cash you earn now will be a fraction of what you earn in a few years if you grow the right way.
Stripe for sure. Obviously I'm a bit biased, but I mainly recommend it because you're excited about the team, and that's almost all that really matters. The motivation will usually lead to great work, more growth, more money, etc. Go w that.
Pick stripe if TC ~ 350k. Else fb
And it was about this time I realised the offer letter was about 8 stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era!
