I am applying for a director position at Facebook and noticed that different director roles require different levels of experience 10-20 years) why such a large range?
Depends on the Area - marketing (several types), product, eng etc on the potential experience and leadership needed for the org
In my product, marketing Directors have 15+ years but this matters less than last role (ie were you a Director at G or VP at some other tech co?)
See if you have connections there, online apps are generally a no-op. I am sure you, as a director, know that by now.
They want to make sure you'll be good at your role - making power point presentations. Good luck :)
Internally seen Director promotions with very little years of experience.
Of course - talking about external here
How long does it take internally from say an IC4?
Typically director has 15–20 years. 10-12 is rare but I suppose possible
