Did 2/3 coding interviews very well System design - very well Behavioral/coding- went well In 1 coding interview cameup with a sub optimal solution and wrote code for it. Could not find a optimal soltuion. How is the chance?
TC?
No hire obviously
Mostly yes.. don’t worry..
Why cant these ppl simply wait? Are you asking for false reassurance or trolling? We didnt interview u so we dont know right smh
Facebook will hire you as long as you drink the kool aide. I know many with absolutely zero knowledge in their fields joined Facebook recently.
I hear this bullshit all the time. The same can be said for any company. Sure a few can slip through the interview cracks but they won't make it a year. Just because Facebook makes you an offer and you accept doesn't mean you're done. Facebook is hard and they push you to kick ass and if you can't keep up they'll drive you out. If you're less than senior you're expected to reach senior in a timely manner, and once you're senior you're expected to drive important multi person tasks with good design. Sure that's not hard but if you're "absolutely zero knowledge" you're in trouble.
Facebook is looking for good signal. One miss is often considered an outlier if the other data points look good. The real question is, did you do as well as you think you did on the others. Algorithmically did you reach best possible runtime and talk about pros and cons from time and space complexity perspective? Did you ask good clarifying questions? For design, did they drive the discussion or did you? Did you give the canned answer or did you take opportunity to shine and implement good outside-the-box optimizations and talk about performance/maintenance benefits? A lot of people think they nailed an interview but they don't realize the answer they gave was mediocre. Not saying you did this, but it's best to research the questions you were asked and compare your answer.
I had 1 miss,( complete miss) in coding, rest went very well, and I got a rejection. I feel if you only 1/2 screw up in 1 coding, you still have a chance, unless somebody outperforms you.
How many coding interviews apart from behavioral u had?
If you had more than 2, most likely last one was a mock to teach novice interviewers and won't count. If you screwed that you are good.
If you make this post, interviewer may see it and know it's you right..?
Low, was that the second or third question in the coding interview?
