I've interviewed at Facebook before 3 times in the past and have failed to receive an offer every time. 2 of the 3 times I've gone to the final rounds. I want to apply again but not sure if my previous record works against me. Do they take this into account? I'm afraid they will stop considering at this point ...
Why are you so desperate about joining facebook? There are many great companies in the valley..
I think it will really depend of what's failing. Are you coming up year after year and show no progress in your skills? Because that might be seen as someone that might struggle to progress once in. If other signals were caught in the past, specially cultural/behavioural, it will certainly come up. In my opinion, you should try to ask yourself what went wrong in the previous attempts and if you try again, make sure you're bringing something new to the picture.
doesn't your Facebook recruiter have a final check in with you? you can ask why you failed and when you can try again
No. I failed twice before
I've been rejected once 2 years ago but the recruiter told me exactly why. he was dilly dallying but I got him to tell him. Anyway it turned out to be one guy who had problems with my Linux command line knowledge (BTW for a leadership role). sadly he was too senior and could sway the VP. Moral: think hard about why: the coding stuff is easy to know where u screwed up. Design is bit a more subjective and culture fit is the most vague. If u check in with the recruiter in that order he/she will tell you.
They won't. I have a friend who tried 5 times for the past 5 years and just got an interview again with them for 6th time.
I don't think your story was much of an encouragement. Haha
I think it was. Never give up!
