I had my second phone interview today. I was asked Verifying Alien dictionary and follow up Alien Dictionary. (top frequently asked question). What was asked from you? And to answer your question I know at Microsoft there is not time limit and at Amazon there is a limit of 12months but not sure about Facebook.
Amazon has 6 months of cooling period not 1 year. And sometimes they call you again in 3 months.
I was asked very very easy questions and it was not like I couldn't solve them. I solved them wrote clean code but still rejected. But I am sure they must be expecting that I should ask lot of questions around the given problem and also should figure out what could be the follow up questions by self. It was required to be more interactive.

Reading your experience is now making me worried because I did struggle with my first question and the interviewer pointed out one mistake and then we moved on to the harder version of the question Verify Alien dictionary but he didn't expect me to code and I ended up explaining the topological sort approach. I think I did alright did but I stumbled here and there. When was your interview and when did you get the result?
