Hello Blinders! I wanted to get some perspective and help from you all! I was contracting at a tier-2 company for 6 months and they converted me to fulltime. I negotiated a higher title and they gave me an offer with a little below market total comp. It has been 2 weeks since I started the fulltime role and I now have an offer from LinkedIn as a contractor for a contract-to-hire role. LinkedIn is definitely better than my current company but I fear burning bridges if I leave my current company after having negotiated a higher title. Also, the LinkedIn fulltime offer is unknown and they might lowball me when converting to fulltime. How should I navigate this? Any advice and help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Titles don't matter literally...its the TC that matters
Hear hear.
LinkedIn doesn’t usually lowball FTE but they do have a tendency to screw contractors. Things move quickly at LinkedIn and there’s no guarantee you’ll get converted even if you’re great in your contract role.
Stay put for ~1 year. Brush up on your interview skills, apply to FTE roles at other places.
