I am up for team fitting call tomorrow .. Recruiter did not disclose which team it is for and just mentioned that the hiring manager manages a number of products and will discuss it with me... I have been reading a lot posts around GCP and it seems APIGEE is definitely a No, Brain is great but needs to be super smart to be able to work in the team, network team has a big impact but might be stressful... @googlers 1. What are the teams I should definitely say No? 2. I am interested in IOT, Machine learning and AI, are they good indeed? 3. What are good questions to ask in the team fitting meeting? 4. How to probe WLB in the meeting? Thanks @googlers
I heard the AI team in seattle is chaos, political and passive aggressive
OP, are you through HC?
Apigee sucks, can’t wait to get out yes!
Why does it suck? I’m an API guy so it’d be my dream to get into that team
+1 Left that team. Best decision
Run away and fast. Bad bad politics between senior leaders. senior engineers from startup days behave selfish and rude as if they own everything, they have protection from senior leaders. Old guards don’t want to change anything, same technology, same code and no process. I was able to escape from this hell sometime back
did you join Google? and how long it took to receive first team fit call
Did you loop in bay area or seattle?
In Sunnyvale
