Getting really bad people in Congress is normal to happen, once in a while at least. Covering for the scum is shocking!

Your article is literally fake news. Here’s what she really said:

“There’s, you know, there’s a kind of a calming feeling, I always tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence, in many ways, had been wiped out. . . . I mean, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time,”

Christians banning Muslims is in no way similar to Muslims banning Jews.

She wasn’t being antisemitic. Here’s the full quote:

“There’s kind of a calming feeling, I always tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holocaust and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives. Their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways have been wiped out and some people’s passports, I mean just all of it, was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews post the Holocaust, post the tragedy and horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right? In many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away, right? And it was forced on them. And so, when I think about a one-state, I think about the fact that why can’t we do it in a better way? And I don’t want people to do it in the name of Judaism, just like I don’t want people to use Islam in that way. It has to be done in a way of values around equality, and around the fact that you shouldn’t oppress others so that you can feel free and safe. Why can’t we all be free and safe together?”

“Besides, appeals to authority are weak.”
Isn’t that what the leftists love to do when it comes to phoney climate change policies? Or healthcare or regulation? Or compelling everyone to vote for the most “qualified authority”? Check the coherence of your arguments.

“Again, show me where “it was forced on them [Palestinians]” = they gave lands willingly to be helpful.”

Sorry I never said that. You misinterpreted in order to box-in my argument incorrectly. My argument is identical to those made by the professors, historians and researchers:
If a deluded farmer says he gets a “calming feeling” thinking about putting a wolf and a hen in the same secular cage, would you dare support his delusion? No, you would immediately call out the hypocrisy of the idiot. Especially after you know that the wolf previously conspired with committers of genocide against the metaphorical hens. Use logic. At this point you know that the “calming feeling” has something to do with the satisfaction of thinking about the expected eventuality in that so-called secular cage.

Don’t peddle your ideology under the guise of innocent naïveté. Your position is that of a straw man. Learn from what experts and professors and historians have to say.

If you read the facts you wouldn’t dare argue for a secular state, because you’d see factually that it couldn’t work. Anyone arguing for a secular state is misguided and arguing as a straw-man. Here, learn:

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini "called for the massacre of Jews in the Arab world on Nazi radio stations — an anti-Jewish 'jihad' — and helped the Nazis recruit Muslims from the Balkans for the SS and Wehrmacht."

And you say why not have a secular state? And get a calming feeling thinking about the holocaust? How deluded do you have to be? This is not unicorn island where a secular state magically works, especially when one religious group expressly aims to exterminate the other.

There’s more for you to learn:
Palestinians "did nothing to alleviate the suffering of the Jews at Nazi hands. Rather the opposite: The Arabs of [British Mandatory] Palestine, during the whole period — and supported by the neighboring Arab states — did all they could to prevent Jews trying to escape Nazi hands from reaching the (relatively safe) shores of Palestine." And this b*tch Tlaib has the audacity to say she has a calming feeling thinking about this?

Adel Manna, a Palestinian historian, agreed with Morris that Palestinians provided no “safe haven” for Jews during the Holocaust, calling Tlaib’s comments “not true.”
“I don’t know what she meant,” Manna, a senior research fellow at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, added. Manna also pointed out Husseini supporting the Nazi government and said Tlaib's words were "unfortunate."

"Rashida Tlaib is either completely ignorant of the history or is a deliberate liar," professor Benny Morris, a leading scholar of British Mandatory Palestine and the formation of the country of Israel

I hope you learn not to peddle your straw man argument, Ellis.

What a convincing rant. So... arguing for a one state solution is anti-Semitic? That’s your argument.

“At this point you know that the “calming feeling” has something to do with the satisfaction of thinking about the expected eventuality in that so-called secular cage.”

So your interpretation of the above quote is she has a calming feeling because she wonders why there can’t be a one-state solution... which makes her fantasize about how a one-state solution is a secret plot to make people fight eachother.

      Lol.

You’re making a reductionist claim, it’s like asking “do you think arguing for world peace is anti-Semitic?” Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

It’s about how you achieve that one state is where the anti-Semitic intentions are obvious. Do I think arguing for having a wolves in a hen house, wolves outnumbering the hens and voting democratically on the choice of their dinner each day is a bad outcome? Duh?

Again, read the opinions of experts to inform yourself: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/israel-historians-hit-back-at-rashida-tlaib-ignorant-of-the-history-or-is-a-deliberate-liar

You want a one state solution? Sure, call it Israel and they will generously accommodate the others in well defined settlements where there’s peace and prosperity and economic opportunity for everyone. How’s that for a one state solution eh? Don’t you want world peace? Stop squeaming. Damn right.
