Going to join Grab: Must Knows

Going to join Grab Singapore soon.
They mentioned about 6 months of probation, how risky it is?
Do they strive to find a way to know whether they can fire me within probession?

Also, they are not giving me any temp stay? As I am moving from India to Singapore, then they should have, but it seems weird to see this.

Thanks for answers.

They'll probably also cane your ass before firing you.

OP, appears to be a reference to incidents in the news of tourists getting beaten with a cane as punishment of drug possession. Know the rules when traveling internationally.

In other words, behave and you’ll be fine.

Such bullshit. Singapore is like any other big city and you’ll be more than fine if you don’t do drugs (just don’t even think about it - punishable by cane and death).

Grab probation is pretty easy (got a friend there). But...honestly you are better off in Canada or the U.S.. Singapore is not good in many ways.

The infrastructure is good (the things you can see). The culture and people are not.

What's wrong with culture and people in Singapore? Curious.

By the way...Singaporeans look down on Indians. Treat them in a discriminatory way personally and professionally. You are better off in Canada or the U.S. (where anyone regardless of race can become CEO)

And then Indians look down on others here...

Good luck dude. The worst culture I’ve ever experienced in my life.

I’ve seen a few people who haven’t passed probation. I’d say it’s relatively easy though. Those people were very dependent or struggled with English language.

Probation should be fairly easy to pass. I'd advice to not join any team in Grab Financial (GFG).

Thanks for the response. No, it's not Financial team.
      Do you work at Grab?
Did you also move to Singapore from outside?

Okay! When you joined Grab, were you experienced or fresher.
If you were experienced, then did you also have Probation?
What does it mean? What extra/special/different it is than normal job?
