Google India vs Microsoft India

I work in Microsoft India. Joined last year as a fresher in a backup product. Should I stay in Microsoft Hyd or consider moving to Google Banglore?
My base is 15lpa currently.
Which can give me a better pay package and great work?
Thanks in advance!

      You should focus on DS Algo and jump ship instead of being a grammar nazi.

      Itโ€™s ok if you donโ€™t want to learn English dude. Chill.
      Itโ€™d only help you in your job though.

      Microsoft is going to give him only MSFT stock. One type not like stocks of different companies.

      He can have 1000 units of MSFT stock.

    Don't read further if you have made up your mind to switch.

    You haven't learnt it all about being in industry. Be a patient wolf. Stay till you become level 61.

    Meanwhile grind Lc and build good profile. Have good engineering experience worth enough to mention in Resume. Think about certifications, publications, patents at this stage not just about money. Msft has hired you with a trust. Contribute something to them before you leave.

    Leaving in such a short time leaves you with less chances left in future. Too many jump ships doesn't look good in a resume.

    Have you researched enough about Google Bengaluru? Do they work on stuff you would like to align your career with? Have you evaluated other options like Amazon Hyd/Blr, Uber hyd?

    My handle is SwitchJobs but won't recommend that here as 1 year at Msft and jumping ships for money doesn't look like a great career move.

      @Uiyt I have worked in Microsoft before and know the engineering bar there as well. I don't know about you team but not even a single person had patent in my entire team ( 40+ people ). Well anyways your life your choices . Let's just agree to disagree

      Ok big shot sir. Putting on a blindfold does not change facts. My team has a good percentage of people with patents. It is entirely possible that people in your team did have patents but didnt really talk about it.
      I don't know which team you worked for but Microsoft is a big company with a varying hiring bar across orgs.

      @sm0: Irrespective of the company, having a patent is a good achievement. If most around you don't have a patent, doesn't mean you shouldn't try for it. If most would readily jump to Google, doesn't mean you suggest a 1 yoe guy to jump just for money.

      Ok @Uiyt . Whatever suits you . Clearly I have different opinions from both of you . Most of the patents are worthless in my opinion. Maybe your view is different .

      @SwitchJobs most of the people who I have met had patents worth not discussing and some of the best people in tech I know don't have one . But again your priorities maybe different . But in my opinion it doesn't have much of an impact at all in your career

      Come here to NCR man. You will be welcomed by freshly burnt stubble ash sourced directly from the farms of Punjab and Haryana.

    In US, Google pays much more than MS. That might not be the same as in India.

    One of my batch mate did the same. Stayed in MS for one year and then moved to Google. He worked in India for two years then relocated to MV. if you have an offer don't think so much, make a move and do well at new place.

    Ms(59) - > ms(62) --> US
    MS(59) - > Goog -> US
    And then revisit options
