I work in Microsoft India. Joined last year as a fresher in a backup product. Should I stay in Microsoft Hyd or consider moving to Google Banglore? My base is 15lpa currently. Which can give me a better pay package and great work? Thanks in advance!
Did you got selected in Google India?
Did you got -> did you get
You should focus on DS Algo and jump ship instead of being a grammar nazi.
How much is total pay including stocks?
Stock and NOT stocks 😁.
What’s wrong with stocks?
Base: 15lpa after hike Joining Bonus: 3lpa Stock this year: 6lpa
That's very low I know people doing 60-70lpa. What's your level?
I am at level 60
Bangalore is not a great city to live. I would advise you to stay in Hyderabad
Go for google anyday
Go google any day.
Can I get a refferal for Microsoft please
Ms(59) - > ms(62) --> US MS(59) - > Goog -> US And then revisit options
What is with the obsession with US? Move there only to be treated like shit by the US govt. Move to US if you only want your life always be in the state of flux. If quality of life is in mind, move somewhere else. There are better countries out there.
Hi @microsoft , can you tell what is it a requirement to be a L62 for a relocation? i just saw a L60 moving to US
Don't read further if you have made up your mind to switch. You haven't learnt it all about being in industry. Be a patient wolf. Stay till you become level 61. Meanwhile grind Lc and build good profile. Have good engineering experience worth enough to mention in Resume. Think about certifications, publications, patents at this stage not just about money. Msft has hired you with a trust. Contribute something to them before you leave. Leaving in such a short time leaves you with less chances left in future. Too many jump ships doesn't look good in a resume. Have you researched enough about Google Bengaluru? Do they work on stuff you would like to align your career with? Have you evaluated other options like Amazon Hyd/Blr, Uber hyd? My handle is SwitchJobs but won't recommend that here as 1 year at Msft and jumping ships for money doesn't look like a great career move.
Look around you . Nobody has any certifications or patents . Most would jump if they get Google . Microsoft has hired you with a trust LOL its fucking business . They really don't care . Don't listen to what your manager says . His work is to keep you around with the lowest pay .
While I dont agree with everything SwitchJobs said, I would say that contributing to or having a patent in your name is a major achievement. People may not have patents in Sumo but here in MS a good number of people do have them.
One of my batch mate did the same. Stayed in MS for one year and then moved to Google. He worked in India for two years then relocated to MV. if you have an offer don't think so much, make a move and do well at new place.
In US, Google pays much more than MS. That might not be the same as in India.
