Just saw a post here saying Google is not hiring any more L3's across North America, is that true? I had an on site scheduled for Nov 22nd, I specifically asked my recruiter in Oct if having to wait until Nov to do my on site would effect my chances and he said no not at all, "we're definitely hiring". Anyone know if this means I'm screwed now? It was for Google in Colorado. Was my interview for this req already baked into the headcount? Did my chances just decrease slightly or increase? Any insight would help. Thank you.
Sigh was blocked from March till September for freeze and closed already.
In all reality, what with the holiday season and the Nov 22 onsite, you probably won't even know if you've passed HC until mid December or early Jan, and you'd still have to do team matching and executive review, so you're fine.
Yea I imagine that this is the case. I'm trying to delay till January start date anyway because of lining up the start of a new grad school semester, vacation, etc. I guess we'll see what happens.
They sent me an email saying they moved my position from university graduate to engineering residency yesterday
Yes. My process was delayed two weeks because my recruiter โforgotโ to schedule my phone interview. Yesterday I was told that I did well enough to make it through to the onsite, but that wonโt be happening due to hiring freeze.
Man sorry to hear that. It seems like everyone found out yesterday, maybe I'm about to get some bad news on Monday. I went through foo bar and my on site was scheduled back in October, wonder if that matters at all.
Also were you interviewing for mountain view? It seems everyone who's been blocked is interviewing for mtv.
When will Google resume hiring L3 again?
I had my on site scheduled and they told me no more L3 this year. Hope this doesn't happen to you
I just commented on your post actually lol... yea I hope so. I mean it was booked a couple of weeks ago and I havent heard anything yet... welp out of my hands I guess.
@Koala where are you finally joining? Amazon or Google?
