Google interview
Gave interview for L4, went up to HC and got rejected. HR gave the key positive and negative feedback and asked to apply after 1 year. Question is, is that a strict 1 year cooling period if HR said so? Will Google consider me for another interview after like 4 or 6 months?
If Google is not your fetish, there are a lot of better opportunities especially in term of growth unless you believe youβve reached a terminal level and want to rest and vest.

Just want to know if that's a standard answer to most of the rejects or will they make any exceptions
just move on and reapply after 1 year if Google is what you want. Your feedback is like your driving record, less than 1 year won't help.

When the recruiter said 1yr, you should have looked at him with probing eyes π, and the broadest smile βΊ and asked him... Really? Reeeeeaaaaalllyyyy??
It used to be two years. Now it is one year. Please don't apply before 12 months. It doesn't help.
My recruiter said he'll get in touch after 10 months. But I guess the interview will be scheduled after 12 months.
Anyone has experience what if the recruiter leaves the company during this period?
Try again in one year. Why is it so difficult to understand?
