Got H1B approved, can I ask MS to start GC process?
Hi all, I just got my H1B status approved yesterday, on OPT now (until October, I presume?) Could I contact MSFT lawyers to get GC process started? I am level 59 and started less than 6 months ago, right after college. Is it ok to show immigration intent now that I have H1B approved? My manager is very supportive so if this is okay to do I will loop him in immediately
The sooner the better!! If you manage to get a Rocket Scientist status, working with some industry rockstars, get your name on some patents basically work hard and become eligible for EB-1 category, you will get your GC sooner.
Luckily for me I am from the “rest of world”, so I am thinking EB-3 won’t be too bad either?
You never know, Country based queues could all be merged even. All it takes is for the one country and community to lobby hard, just as it's happening now.
