Got rejected because of Github gardener

I applied for an iOS Engineer position in a UK company, and today I got a final answer to my application. I've been rejected because of one main issue, the use of Github Gardener and the fact that I did not talk about it during the phone interview. To be frank I totally forgot about it until today ..
I understand that this could be a potential trust issue between my lead and I, but do you think I can fix this ? If so, how ?

Oh dang. I’m starting to sympathize with you in seeing how this could have been an honest mistake stemming from a bit of curiosity.

Well, you did the right thing, removing it.

You could try to give them a kindly worded response, but it might be best to just move on without regrets.

Not sure why UK jobs pay peanuts. I feel like ya'll are paid less than similar jobs in India even by a direct currency conversion rate.
No pun intended but I could see Europeans going to India for jobs at this rate and this time you'll have to compete for the jobs. Crazy thought ... I know

No the welfare does not take 50% comp away. Cost of living is simply less. Tax is about 40% which is not much more than usa which is about 35%

And we are talking about TC before tax, right? So how does tax even matter here

Employers have more to pay, so employees get less.

There are various level of taxes, the money your employer pretends to pay you before tax is just a small part of what you cost them. Not saying they shouldn't pay more, but just don't assume the taxes you pay is all the money the government get from you.

Take the rejection and move on. Gardner is cheating, get out of the habit of using it. Now

This. There's nothing you can do to reverse a rejection. But there's lots of fish in the sea. It's a seller's market.

Lesson learned. Do your *honest* best in the future. And certainly let them know next time because that shows integrity.
