Read on Blind that you need VP approval to start the process? Is this a rubber stamp kind of process or is there some type of selection process that actually happens?
Depends on your manager and Director ... if you are on the edge who the manger does not think will be in next 1 year or team merge ... then VP approval. At the end of the day all approvals go through them in bulk for rubber stamp approval .
Some VPs have policy that greencard can be filed only after 1 year so it's not always dependent on your performance
After the merger no one knows what will be the stand..
It needs VP approved but a lot of it depends on your manager and director. For me it was started after 6 months. For my friend it started after a year because of asshole manager.
Whoever wrote it is lying. If you are not bad performer, they start the process in 6month. They started mine in 2 months from start date.
