I work for an Indian consulting firm and work for my client in US. My H1B has expired and the extension is currently in process since applied through Non-Premium process. Am I eligible to switch to another company in US?
Yes
Yes, you can have multiple H1B petitions in process.
Again, will this qualify as a special case? Since its not a straight away transfer, So what could be told to the employer to avoid them from freaking out about this or it being a deal breaker. Thank you
Firstly, there is no difference between transfer, extension, and "new" H1B to petition. Second, as I mentioned, you can have multiple H1B petitions in flight. It's not a special case or a deal breaker. Mention the "extension" petition to the new employer and provide them with any documentation related to it.
Yes. U can switch.

There’s nothing special to tell. When u send all i797s both notice of approval and notice of receipt it will be clear. U can also call it out. No biggie.
