I just got off a call from Verizon Support with additional 8GB of data for the rest of the month. The reason for my call was to find out why I'm out of data (it's says I used all of 12GB + any carry over from last month) which never happened before, my data usage trend for past months stayed between 7-9GB. This month, it says I used 12.5 GB so far and I don't have anymore data, which is understandable because I had some travel this month. Clearly, I should have additional carry over of 3.7 GB from last month (because my usage says 8.3 GB for last month) on top of 12 GB plan I have. So I called Verizon Support to find out what happened because numbers don't add up for me. Verizon Support took turns between two support rep and finally a manger and none of them could figure out what happened to the carry over I was suppose to get from previous month and just gave away additional 8GB to use until the end of the current billing cycle. I'm almost certain this shit is going to happen again next time I go over my data plan, what do you guys think? :)
100% will repeat. Once in an exception, always in an exception.
Ew. Time to switch to T-Mobile so you don't need to deal with the necessity to call in and do that.
T-Mobile have below average customer support/service (I'm being nice here) I used T-Mobile like 5 years ago. I lead a support team my self, have been in this customer facing roles myself from the start of my career. if I were to rate thier support it will be 2-3 outta 10. T-Mobile can definitely do better in this area.
No waaaaaaay. I can't speak for TMO vs. Verizon, but for the 12 years I was a TMO customer, I called them maybe once a year and they bent over backwards every single time. Just try AT&T and you'll be ready to go postal! Postal workers are super nice, BTW 😉
new phone? I got a Google pixel phone & was charged 24gbs!
Awesome. I have Nexus 6. I started suddenly going over my data but my habits haven't changed at all. Spoke to T mobile several times. Went to the store twice. No one could tell me why but all said I spent it because their system said so. Finally a guy told me it was my Android OS which essentially made it my fault again. Wasn't given a kb of data and was told to manually turn off data on the phone every time I don't use it.
same.
People still have limited data!? What year is this!?
for Facebook employees it is year 2030 based on what you guys must be paid compared to rest of the silicon valley. :)
Not sure how that's relevant. Just haven't had a limited phone plan since the 2005. Didn't know that was even a thing still. Do you pay by the text message as well?!
I got Verizon unlimited when it came out a while ago. Highly worth it.
since other people are pitching in recommendations, I'll offer mine: Project Fi. you start with a "plan" but you get credit on your bill for whatever you don't use. It's a penny per MB, whether you go over your plan or go under it. there are tons of unique features that I won't go into here, but it's well worth a look.
You're fucked, lol. Time to switch carriers.
I really hope this sub doesn't turn into a non-employee bitchfest about consumer customer service. Isn't this supposed to be for employees?
I did tell someone who would care if you read carefully. I just thought ill keep it light by joking about it. :)
