Hiring manager interview @Qualtrics
Finished the onsite 2 weeks ago and moved on to the hiring manager interview. Wondering what to expect? Is it technical or behavioral? It’s for a SWE position btw! Thanks in advance!
Don’t forget the bonus points for reciting at least 2 passages from the Book of Mormon.
are there many Mormons in the Seattle office? Would I get bonus points for watching The Book or Mormon 4 times?
It depends on who you get in my experience. Mine was the easiest interview with two softballs and a lot of questions about my experience. A friend’s interview was much more difficult with very tricky questions. I’d still expect something on par with or easier than previous interviews.
Religion never comes up in interviews and anywhere in the office unless you’re curious and start asking people. There is a minority of Mormons in the Seattle office
HM interview is mainly checking if you’re an easy person to work with, you genuinely love customers, and want to work collaboratively with others. We also focus on honesty, transparency, and folks who see problems as opportunities rather than complain about them.

Mostly technical but usually easier than onsites if you did well on those. Mine was a couple short ?s (no coderpad/whiteboard)
