Housing near Tesla Palo Alto
Hi, I'm moving to the sf bay area next month. I'm looking out for suggestions on what's the best area to live for a good commute to the Tesla HQ drive (20-30 mins drive or shuttle) but also be relatively close to a good downtown? Looking for a 1bd room, ~750sq ft, approx. rent around $2500. Thanks!
Not likely to find that in the commute distance. Maybe rent an inlaw studio for that in Los Altos or Los Altos hills.
you could probably find a one bedroom in san jose with that budget. it’s further but tesla has shuttle at santana row. (at least used to) I used to drive to santana row and take the shuttle 3 times a week and drove the other days.

Go for MV or Cupertino. MV will be 15-20 minutes drive. Cupertino same but taking a highway.
You wont find a one bed for that budget especially in palo alto. Maybe try east palo alto if you dont mind gun crimes
