I currently have 3 offers and two onsite interviews scheduled. All recruiters are pushing me to accept the offer. How do you people manage to get extension? When I say I need some time, they say I am not serious about their company. I want to decide when I am done with all interviews. current tc 140 offered tc 215, 220, 210 yoe 4 thanks!
its the decision time.
I was on the same situation a few months ago. Here's my advice - aggressively give feedback to companies. come up with a list of red (or even pink) flags you have and tell that to the recruiter and get them to address them - aggressively turn down companies that you already feel might be third picks maybe gently. You can just say you're strongly leaning the other way and would like to focus your attention elsewhere for now. feel free to give them a number that would make you accept now - aggressively vet the management chain of the remaining companies. get on the phone with your hiring manager, his manager, other department. this is very important but also a fantastic stalling tactic.
Take the 220k
Don't let them bully you, let them know that you are waiting for other offers. If they want you, they will wait for you, otherwise why worry. Congrats to the offers!
Thanks 😊
Wow. Super exciting.
You can say "I'm very serious about your company. You're in my top 5. But I'm still waiting to hear back from other companies and I don't want to accept an offer before I know all my options." and "Put yourself in my shoes: How can I accept an offer before I know all my options?". If they persist, then you can say "If hiring someone for this role is extremely urgent, and you have other options, I will understand if you rescind my offer and give it to someone else. Otherwise, you will have to wait until I am done with my other interview loops." They almost never will rescind, and if they do, you still have other offers, and probably didn't want to work there anyway
what are those companies?
