How liberal (really) are professionals in San Fransisco?

It's no secret that San Francisco is arguably one of the most far-left areas of the country. I'm wondering how much of that is simple virtue signaling and how much of that is sincere beliefs. I had an openly gay co-worker once tell me it's easier to come out as gay than it is to come out as a conservative in the Bay area. Would you say this is true? How many in the area are closet moderates or conservatives that simply go along with left-wing politics just to avoid conflicts and to keep their career secure?

Lots of conservatives in the tech scene, mostly fiscal conservatives and social liberals

Lots of social conservatives too, you just shout us down so much we keep our mouth shut so you think we are not here.

ā€œI had an openly gay co-worker once tell me it's easier to come out as gay than it is to come out as a conservative in the Bay area. Would you say this is true?ā€ We know your coworkers donā€™t actually talk to you. You pulled this from Silicon Valley

Haha that's funny I totally forgot about that scene šŸ˜‚ Definitely true then. Although, I think in the show it was talking about coming out as Christian.

The socially conservative are completely ostracized. Believe in traditional marriage but have a gay teammate? Good luck navigating that land mine. Easier to pretend to go along ā€œfake itā€ and keep your private beliefs between yourself and God.

Replace believe in traditional marriage with ā€œhateful discriminationā€

^Knock off the discrimination yo

I want Dany to come on her dragon like the penultimate episode of the final season and go totally nuts about burning this whole shithole place we call Bay Area down

They are way more common in New York than you might think. Most of my employees are right of center but will not admit it.

Lean left but holy crap sf is something else . I used to think I was liberal back in Austin . Sf is a whole new level . South Bay is somewhat better in that regard

Google lynch mob for discussing gender differences. Pretty simple that there's a religion problem down there which has nothing to do with God(s).

Leftism is a religion. Facts are not required.

You seem confused with Trumpism

Indeed Scrub šŸ§½ Jul 9, 2019

People who are "Never Trump" or "Always Trump" don't have the capability of critical thinking. Critical thinking can certainly lead you to "Leftism is a religion. Facts are not required."

I work with a bunch of leftists it is a hotbed for leftist r_tards. Bunch of closeted moderates like myself. I just donā€™t say anything, but I literally work with a PC principal type from South Park.

Itā€™s so irrationally liberal/leftist that it turned me into a conservative. Thatā€™s after voting for Nader Obama and Hillary.

Just because Kamala is playing AOCs playbook I'm probably voting conservative this year... I too supported Obama and Hillary several years back

Yeah, a centrist candidate may do miracles. DNC however has already committed to a clown fest.
