How many applications per company

Applying for 2-3yr exp SDE backend roles. For smaller companies there are usually few openings and recruiting team is small, so if you apply for only one role then also I think recruiters will consider you for similar roles. How does it work for bigger companies like oracle, adobe, Amazon, Zillow, msft, expedia, paypal,sf which has so many similar openings and many recruiters. Most job descriptions are boilerplate like 2-3 yr exp,c,c++,java, python, algo, data structures, oop ... Also we can only clearly understand what the role is & what team is doing only after talking with team member. Do I need to apply for all the roles in which I am interested in that company. Won't it look like desperate? Or Just 2-3 roles. Do the recruiters/ hiring managers look at the resumes submitted for similar roles? (Please let me know if your team/company is hiring. Referral appreciated but It's ok if you can't refer. Background - Bachelors/MS in CS, 2-3 yr exp, interested in backend/distributed systems) Prep level (if that matters): around 200 lc & ctci, going through epi, grokking, primer TC: peanuts

Hey, couple of questions: - how much time did it take for you to solve 200 lc? - what is ctci, epi, primer? Thanks
