I need a break from tech, and sick of working on useless shit at Amazon. That's why I've decided to take a year off to solo travel abroad. This will be combination of living in some places for a month, and other places only for a few days. Currently thinking of taking this route: Central/South America-> Southern/Eastern Africa-> Egypt -> Dubai-> Central Asia -> Vietnam-> Philippines-> NZ -> Eastern Europe. The end Not sure if I'll have enough time for all of that, but wondering how much it might cost in total? Is 40k going to be enough? I want to travel in comfort, but not luxury. Mostly private rooms in hostels
Private rooms in hostels and comfortable? Ok
You should be fine I did this for 3 months
Pls don’t go to Dubai. There’s nothing there that you’d actually want to experience on a once ina lifetime trip
Dubai is easy stopover for this trip. Worth landing there but spreading a week over nearby cities. But after that, don't need to go back
I have seen YouTube videos of that place and I have seen everything Dubai offers in a nice 2 min video.
Have you traveled before? I assume you are male, what is your age range?
I have, but nothing more than a month! I'm almost 30
go to south east asia, the living expenses are cheap
Been there already. Not every country, of course
Stay safe, pretty dangerous continents/countries on that list...
This route doesn’t look much fun but that’s just me.
Why do you say that?
