How much does what your company does matter to you?

I care about my company as if I was the founder - but I was employee #4 And have invested a significant amount of time there

The product is one of my top 3 things to look for when considering a new company. Has to be something I like and would use myself. Interestingly, I don't care about impact though. Tbh it's stressful making features that millions of people will use and see

I worked for a medical insurance company that was downright evil and under investigation by the state insurance commission. It actually bothered me to be employed there. Whereas working in other jobs where my work has made mediocre products, it hasn't bothered me as long as they aren't down right criminal.

We build hard drives....yay....

My first job and my last job i had a great boss/mentor. Great coworkers and culture was decent but both companies were sinking ships and that really hurts morale. I want to have the same pride in my company the way i have school pride in my alma mater.

I literally think we are changing the world. Luckily I have a great comp... And an awesome team... But feel like we're helping people live better, healthier, more productive lives.

Working for a second chance lender is way more sad than I thought it would be

As a UX person it's important to me that _someone_ uses and cares about my product, but it doesn't have to be me.

Don’t care or I’d be elsewhere

To me it's the most important reason to stay. For a first time in my life I proudly wear company branded clothes daily. The fact that​ the actual work turned out to be super interesting, came as a nice bonus.
