How much preparation did you put into studying the LPs for your Amazon onsite? Is it better to have a different example for each or is it better to choose 3-4 that can apply and be twisted into any LP? In what format are LP questions asked?
Better to get separate examples for each. Multiple for each is even better. 3-4 in total will look bad.
I didn't put enough effort in and felt like it hurt my interview performance. I stretched a few examples to apply to most LPs. Interviewed for SDE2 and got top of band SDE1 offer
How many years of exp?

Do not underestimate them, that’s all I’ll say.
Did this recently but for SDE role, please make sure you have at least Three for few imp ones. It is not easy to invent on the fly. Took me an entire evening to prepare a chart. My approach was to line up all my projects and match them with multiple LP as tags. This way was easier to remember for me but be careful not to repeat any. I didn't make anything for the less imp lps as I could use the extra for important ones. They note down all your responses for each qn.
About 6 hours. You need to practice story telling first, then organize your stories from the past to make it believable. Hint: it does not have to be "your" stories.
What does LP stand for, sorry for my ignorance
Leadership principle
Gotcha thanks
The behavioral questions are hideous. You truly do need to come in with a gameplan to be able to respond to a question like “Tell me 1 time u encountered a struggle in ur life, btw?” On the street, you’d tell someone who asked this to go have a wank. But obviously you can’t do this at an Amazon interview (if you want to get the job.)
Gilderoy Lockhart!
I didn’t spend too much time and failed to get an offer for SDM. SDEs might have less of a requirement. You’ll be fine if you are a strong bullshitter, which I am not. I would have been better off to get my fake stories in order before the interview. They do ask for specific examples that actually happened to you. Like “remember a time you had a conflict. How did you resolve it”.
Yup questions like that one are not something I can answer on the spot unless I anticipated and prepped for it
