How much of a raise should I ask for / can I get?

I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary at an IoT company here in Los Angeles. I joined on when the company only had around 25 employees and their first round of funding. I joined on as the Senior Mobile Engineer on the team for 120k + an equity stake with an agreement that I would be up for raises every 6 months as I would be the developer spearheading the project and I would be more valuable to them the more I understood their system. I didn't worry about the timeline and didn't press the raise in the first 6 months because 1. we were busy and 2. I wanted to prove my worth and gain some leverage. To say the least, I believe I have the most leverage now. The only developers on my team now are my manager and a couple of contractors. The contractors originally built the system and I have since taken over most of the development. Their contract is up in December, and I will be the only person in the company that knows the system from top to bottom. I have had multiple offers from other Venture backed startups with serious funding for lead roles and Director of Engineerinf positions. I have also spread my time around and developed 2 other projects that have generated a lot of revenue for my company. These projects were not something I was originally hired for, but things that I ended up building. I’m curious what I should ask for. As I stated, I took this role at 120k because I felt the company was going to do well, and because they were smaller at the time with less of a budget, and because i was promised raises every 6 months. Now I feel that since my performance for them has been great and I have leverage on my side I am in an optimal place to ask for a good raise. How much should I reasonably ask for or get away with?

Honestly it's very unlikely they would bump your salary to 180k. If I were you i would get few offers and tell to your company that you want your raise and give them the highest offer number. Tell them it's based on your accurate market research. If they come up with something a lot less, the it's time to say goodbye

Get an offer from another company. Then you can ask for this much.
