Two options:
TC at grant: base + target bonus + expected RSU per year at the value when they were granted
Current TC: base + target bonus + expected RSU per year at current value
Optionally include any one time (e.g. signing) bonus.
Now, TC or GTFO
I need to start asking for a signing bonus, how do I do that without seeming greedy?
Using the math provided
TC === rubbish 150k no RSU
Didn’t include bonus because I didn’t get one last year despite doing great work and delivering way more than expected.
YOE ~= 6
Yes I know, completely being taken advantage of. Attempting to fix this.
“I have $xyz in unvested stock that I’d be giving up by accepting this offer, can you do something like a signing bonus to help soften the blow?”
Doesn’t matter if it’s true as long as you act like it is.
