What do you think of an organization that has raised ton of money an is hiring like crazy. Like 2 to 5 engineer a week. The whole company went from 400 to 800 in 5 month (this includes employees in other departments as well). Is there anything like growing too fast, or is it just a normal thing that happens at startups?
Seeing as it can take months to find good senior people, fast hiring would make me dubious of the quality of the hires.
This is where my mind is right now. I am doubting of the quality of the engineers.
Be wary of politics and a lot of posturing taking place
Execs should be smart and grounded. If they are, hyper growth will be fun.
Fast hiring means lowering the bar.
Been there, done that, shitshow, never again.
What company?
normal.
No, there is nothing called growing too fast in general terms. It depends on where in your product-market-sales journey you are. If you got that P-M-S fit right, scaling at 100% per five months may be essential for going from 10M rev to 75M rev.
