I want to be my own boss. I want to be a CEO
Any tips? I’m sick and tired of having managers who are clueless. Not only in terms of technicality of my day to day work, but just in life/philosophically. It’s fucking awful to witness every day... I want to be my own boss, but I don’t want to be a contractor or freelance.. I want to own and run a living, breathing company. I want help my own employees see the light, tear down social walls that other companies have put up (no talking about salary, etc). I just want to help people see that what they do every day at work isn’t what life is all about and doesn’t need to define them unless they want it to. Life’s about more than fucking cranking away at the keyboard. It’s about spending time w/ love ones, seeing friends, traveling earth. Who ever convinced us that work is the all knowing, all seeing, decider of life has plagued society. I know I’m just a random small, lonely engineer but shit, if I had the capital and the support, this would be my dream. Screw FAANG. Do it right. Do it my way. Who else feels the same? And before I get ripped to shreds because “that’s now how you run a company” or “well nothing will ever get done with that business model”.. can you just for the sake of the argument ignore how revenue is generated here. Anyone wanna come work for me? Or does anyone at least feel me? Tc 90 3 YoE

So what? He will make lot of money because of aquisition or going public. Then he can happily retire or move on to next venture. Being your own boss is the ultimate freedom.
